Privacy
Glimpse is designed to keep switching data on your Mac. This page explains what stays on your device and what is needed for purchases and support.
Who we are
Glimpse is provided by SAWANT CORE LLP. Our website is glimpse.sawantsites.com.
This website
You can browse this website without creating an account. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Purchases and license management take place on Polar.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, may process IP addresses, request details, and security logs to deliver and protect the website. Please keep license keys and payment details out of website URLs.
Purchases
Checkout, invoices, and license-key delivery are handled by Polar as merchant of record for the purchase flow. Glimpse validates license keys against Polar’s public customer license endpoints from the Mac app. Activation sends your license key and the identifiers needed to validate your license and registered Mac to Polar. Window titles, screenshots, and browser history are not sent with those requests. Payment details are entered in Polar’s checkout, not in Glimpse.
Data on your Mac
- Screen thumbnails stay in memory while the switcher needs them. They are not written as a screenshot archive by Glimpse.
- Browser titles and URLs are read only after you opt into browser search, remain local, and clear when that browser-search window closes.
- Explicitly saved workspaces store app bundle IDs, window titles, and display-relative geometry in
~/Library/Application Support/Glimpse/workspaces.json. Deleting a workspace removes that saved layout. - License credentials and the prior verification record live in this Mac’s Keychain.
Permissions
Accessibility is required for global shortcuts, window discovery, and focusing. Screen Recording is optional for thumbnails. Automation may be requested only after you opt into Safari or Google Chrome tab search. See the download page.
Offline license behavior
Previously verified lifetime access can remain usable during transport failures and provider errors. Authoritative invalid or revoked responses remove access when the app can reach Polar. A fully offline Mac cannot learn about a refund or revocation until it reconnects.
Support and records
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to share. We use it to answer your request. Please avoid sending full license keys, payment card details, or private window contents. Purchase and support records are retained as needed for support, refunds, accounting, and applicable legal obligations. Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of your data.
Details about our service providers are available in the Polar privacy policy and Vercel privacy policy.
